‘at the table’ at volkshotel amsterdam is a reimagining of the exhibition of the same name at de sering earlier this year. while still featuring the main three paintings, this exhibition also features multiple smaller paintings and sculptures. by depicting animals and humans together at one table the works raise questions regarding the assumed hierarchy of species and the nature / culture divide. Are we really that different from animals?
the exhibition started in the end of may and will be on until july 2026. it’s freely accessible so you can just head to the 7th and 8th floor of volkshotel in amsterdam to visit it.
