hi! my name is julia! i’m originally from germany but i’ve been based in the netherlands since i came here to study many years ago. i like to draw, to paint on canvas, textile, paper, walls and other materials, and to tattoo people without the use of a machine (handpoke). i like to experiment with print, murals, pottery and any other creative outlet i can get my hands on. i also sometimes teach courses and workshops about handpoke tattooing.
except by the usual day-to-day of a 20-something, i am inspired by philosophy, feminism and other theory, and especially ecofeminism has a special place in my heart. i have a chronic illness and living with it inspires my work quite a lot as well.
